Executive Team


P.D.Samudra  is Managing Director and Member of the Board. He is also CEO of the thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions Regional Cluster for India. He has completed 35 years with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India). An alumnus of IIT Mumbai (Chemical Engineering), Samudra earlier headed thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India)'s Sales & Business Development Division. He has over 35 years' experience in the selling of process technologies / plant engineering, and is a recipient of the Hans Uhde International Group Award. He has been conferred an Award for Business Leader of the year 2010 for Outstanding Contributions to Engineering Services by the Chemtech Foundation.

He is past Chairman of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers - Mumbai Regional Centre, past Chairman of Process Plant & Machinery Association of India and Council Member, IIChE India.


N.R.Chitre is Executive Director - Commercial & Member of the Board of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India). He is additionally Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Industrial Solutions business area's Regional Cluster India. He is responsible for the company's Central Functions including Finance & Secretarial, Commercial, Legal & Insurance, Personnel, HR and Administration, Commercial Project Management, Contract Change Management and Information Technology Management. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, Chitre also has an MBA in General Management from the European School of Management Technology (ESMT) in Germany.

Chitre has over 30 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Commercial functions. He worked for various Indian companies for fifteen years before joining thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) in 2001. He is credited with implementation of SAP CO module , IRFS and USGAAP accounting in thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India). In 2010, he moved to thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions South Africa, a thyssenkrupp group company as Chief Financial Officer, before returning to thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) and being elevated to the Executive Team of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India)


P.G.Waray is Executive Director - Engineering and Project Execution (Network of Excellence).  A Mechanical Engineering graduate from VJTI, Mumbai, he also has a post graduate specialisation in Industrial Engineering from VJTI. Mr Waray has 14 years with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) and was previously Executive Director - Implementation as also Head of our Pune Operations.

Waray is a member of the Project Management Institute of India, and is widely respected in the industry for his knowledge on Project Management and Project Planning.

Parag Chepe

Parag Chepe is Executive Director - Technologies, and an alumnus of the Laxminarayanan Institute of Technology, Nagpur, He has an M.S. (Process Engineering) from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.

Chepe is responsible for the organisation's Business Units - Fertilisers and Electrolysis & Polymers.  He has been with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) for the last 25 years, where amongst other responsibilities, he has headed the company's Process, System Design and Mechanical Departments. He has also been instrumental in helping to forge the organisation's Process Department.

Chepe has been involved in the technology and processes related to the group?s core competencies of Caustic Soda - Chlorine, Fertilisers, Refineries, Inorganic Chemicals and Cryogenic Storages.

He has read papers on a variety of process-related subjects at a number of forums for the chemical process industries in India.


K.S.Rao is Executive Director - Industrial Specialities & Services. He completed his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, 1983. He also has a post-graduation in Business Administration (Finance).

Rao is responsible for the Company's Business Unit - Industrial Specialities which covers Third Party Technologies, Refining, Petrochemicals, Metallurgy, Storages and Coke Oven Plants.

Rao has completed 18 years in thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India), where he was previously Executive Director - Sales and Business Development.

He has considerable experience in the fields of Sales, Operations and Project Management, and has held senior positions in the leading Indian fertiliser major Coromandel International, before joining thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India).

Rao is well-known in the Indian chemical industry and is Past President - PPMAI and Fertiliser Industry Coordination Committee (FICC). He has presented papers on a number of industry subjects in India and abroad.
